Impact C - Inviting the Climate
Assingment: Pushing and Pulling the Envelope - Phase II C - Inviting the Climate
The room I have selected in this investigation is the kitchen. I thought this was the room, which had the greatest demands according to inviting the climate. Over the last ten years the kitchen has become a really important room in our homes. It is mainly used for cooking, but also for coffee drinking, reading the newspaper, to make homework, etc. Therefore I have designed a room with two zones, which suits the above mentioned in the best possible way.

To create a good climate indoor, I
have studied the sunlight and designed an opening, which is open for the sunlight
during the winter months and closed for the sunlight during the summer months.
This is done to avoid an overheating in the room during the summer. In the
winter months the idea is to heat up the room with the sun instead of using
energy to heat up the room.

Montre for the Body
I have called my result in impact B "Montre for the Body" because I have created a frame around the shower action. Basically the idea is to have this light constantly and when the action bathing is in use the steam and water will interact with the light. That interaction will give the user some kind of artificial shower curtains and the montre will appear around you.

Impact B - Bending the Light (investigations)
Assignment: Pushing and Pulling the Envelope - Phase II B - Bending the Light
These models are some of my investigation models. Models built to see how the opening can control the behavior of the light in the room. The selected room for this assignment is the bathroom. The light becomes visible when it hits something. Therefore the bathroom is preferred because water and steam will appear when the action is in use, which I thought was an interesting thing to work further with.

Impact A - Framing the View
Assignment: Pushing and Pulling the Envelope - Phase II A - Framing the View
This is the room to relax in which I especially have worked with the framed view. The room is divided into two zones. One zone to asocial relaxing with its own view and another more social zone with the greatest view.

Drawing for Manipulating the Opening
Assignment: Pushing and Pulling the Envelope - Phase II A - Framing the View
These pictures are the technical
drawings of my envelope with the new openings designed after intuition to create
the best context to the actions and my "program of
intent"

Manipulating the Opening
Assignment: Pushing and Pulling the Envelope - Phase II A - Framing the View
In a time interval of 24 hours I worked by intuition to create different types of openings for every action. The opening should suit the action and frame the view of the newly given context. These models were my result.
